The End of the Beginning

Last October we hosted Ruslan in our home as part of the Save-a-Child Foundation Hosting Program. We fell in love with this young man and wanted to make him part of our family. It seems like a lifetime since we have seen Ruslan, but we are very excited to be leaving this Saturday for the adventure of our lifetime and his. Even though we feel like we are over the edge, the title of our blog refers to the English meaning of the word Ukraine. Our daughters have patiently helped us start our blog. Tanner wanted the title of the blog to be:

"luggage $100, packing items $200, airplane ticket $1000, taking one fourth of a Valium to knock out the whole trip from memory: Priceless!" (Let's just say that Ann and flying do not mix, right family?)

We hope this won't be our last posting, but we will have to wait and see! Do the keyboards in Ukraine have English letters! Stand-by!!!!
